Introduction

Why am I creating this blog because the personal is political, knitting and crocheting is liberating for me.  It lifts my depression through creativity and liberates me from those who would silence me and others as a human rights autistic activist.  

My inspiration comes the story of Robert the Bruce and the Spider who spins thread and creates wonderful webs.  In frustration Bruce broke the spiders web but the spider kept spininng and spinning.  If you silence me or others, it will come out in my crochet or knitting.  I sit in venues like Churches, meetings and Job centres, knitting in defiance as the fates do, telling my story and challenging others through creativity.

Right now I am crocheting a peace top, then I shall knit a black armband to mourn the armaments industry, a cause of thousands of deaths.
